Advanced and Professional Opportunites

Academy Dance Ensemble

The Academy Dance Ensemble (ADE) is a studio company comprised of students from the Northern Virginia Dance Academy. ADE is a part of the Professional Signature Track of NVDA’s curriculum. Students are offered the chance to learn excerpts of the Asaph Dance Ensemble’s repertoire, new choreographic works by professional dancers, and those pre-professional students who want to develop their own choreographic style. The dancers are then given the opportunity to perform these works at a variety of venues throughout the community, such as senior living residences, nursing homes, public libraries, public and private schools, and events in Old Town Manassas and Prince William County. These dancers also have different opportunities to perform along-side of the Asaph Dance Ensemble.

Asaph Dance Ensemble

NVDA first began in the basement of Mrs. Sturm’s home and after rapid growth; NVDA was moved to its own building in 1991. In September 2017, NVDA was absorbed into the Asaph Dance Ensemble, which brought it to its non-profit status.

The Northern Virginia Dance Academy is the education wing and training center of the Asaph Dance Ensemble, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is operated by Daniel Faudree, Director of the Asaph Dance Ensemble.
